• This set of resources comprising 15 lessons was developed by Cecelia, a primary teacher who took part in the Classrooms for Climate Justice research. Thank you Cecelia for sharing these wonderful resources!

Cecelia writes: These resources are designed to incorporate teaching about climate justice into literacy work around informational writing (specifically the report genre). It also includes work around comprehension skills including scanning, summarising and determining importance and fluency development through poetry.  There is also scope within the unit for philosophy and/or oral language discussions.

  • “What I like about this resource is that you can either follow it as designed or take the custom made resources and tailor them to suit what you are doing with your class. While the sequence of lessons makes a lot of sense and is very useful for teaching report writing through the context of climate justice, you can also adapt it as needed to your context. “ Primary educator, Ireland
